Health technology company Numa, has launched a mobile phone personal health assistant platform online where patients can have high quality health related information and verified health care professionals with necessary treatment.
The mobile platform, Asknuma, is founded by two former business school students and healthcare professionals Dr. Tobi Obisanya and Mr. Anthony Ajose.
Speaking about the initiative, Co-founder Dr. Obisanya disclosed that the innovative mobile artificial healthcare was set up to subdue the difficulties and bad experiences people encounter in accessing quality healthcare.
Addressing newsmen, he said that millions of people do not have access to quality healthcare, “and this platform will help as a first aid for people to ask about their status and also attend to their complain by prescribing the necessary things they need to do or directing them to a nearby hospital for treatment if needed.
‘We are still at the beginning of the journey and our aim is making this online platform grow because this idea is not for one percent rather it is for the ninety-nine percent of people across Africa.”
He further noted that the company has done every necessary thing in partnering with each health center they direct patients to and it has been effective.
The interactive gathering enabled guests share the good and bad experiences they went through accessing healthcare when it is needed.
Similarly, Mr. Anthony Ajose, also co-founder, added that ‘asknuma.com’ will allow users to access wide variety of healthcare information on various issues or symptoms concerning one’s  health and also create their own profile where they alone can have access to for confidentiality.
One of the participant added that people have the idea of keeping their health status secret to them alone and if something is going on with them concerning their health, they will want to keep it and attend to it their way without consulting a doctor and it may lead to their death.
However, asknuma is a platform that will attend to patients’ need and will keep their secret.
To access the platform, users can visit www.asknuma.com on their mobile phones and laptop.
